Emmie Derbäck is a communications professional in Washington, DC. She recently graduated from Georgetown University where she studied Government, English, and Environmental Studies and pursued marketing and communications classes, leadership roles, and internships.

Her current communications work centers on environmental policy and corporate social responsibility. She enjoys writing press releases, ghostwriting op-eds, working with the media, managing websites, and creating content for digital media platforms.

She also blogs about and works in the hospitality industry, a field that has been a central part of her life since her first transatlantic flight at one month old. She loves meeting and getting to know new people.

Prior to joining her current firm, she interned for several nonprofit organizations including the Solar Energy Industries Association, United Way, and the Sierra Club.
